I've always loved Halloween, but it is so much more fun with children. The older two both had parties at school today and came home proclaiming it to be the best day of their lives. How fun for them. I stopped with the girls at the grocery store this afternoon and they were doing trick-or-treating with great stuff like string cheese, chocolate milk, carrots, and other healthy treats. That's my kind of trick-or-treating. And all during the pumpkin carving, Savanna kept telling me how much fun she was having. It's such a great holiday for the kids. Happy Halloween!
Carving pumpkins.
Savanna loved it.
Hal didn't.
All ready for her school party.
Love Papa Murphy's.
Carter wasn't close enough. Also, this is his third costume of the day. He informed me 30 minutes before school started that he wanted to be something different. It was hard finding something he wanted to be that didn't have a mask or a weapon. So he has been Dracula, Darth Vader, and this. And, Hal insisted on these shoes. Isn't it fun that she's so independent??
This is Daddy penguin Mike. Hal almost started to bawl when she first saw him. But as soon as he took off his mask they were friends. He was a huge hit at the trunk-or-treat.
Off they go.
Happy Halloween 2011!!! Goodbye October.
