If any of you moms need a fun fall idea, we had a good time with this. Carter and I made play dough. We had so much fun making halloween shapes with cookie cutters and snakes and cars and every other thing he could think of. We lasted about an hour at this. Near record time!
Pumpkin Pie Play Dough (from sugardoodle.net)
5-1/2 cups flour
2 cups salt
8 teaspoons cream of tarter
3/4 cup oil
1(12 ounce) container pumpkin pie spice
orange food coloring
4 cups water
Mix all of the ingredients together. Cook and stir over medium heat until all lumps disappear and it looks like smooth, mashed potatoes. Knead the dough on a floured surface until it is smooth. Store in an airtight container.
